SEO Audit or Full Optimization? Choosing the Right Level

Your website has been live for a year. Google shows it for your business name and nothing else. Someone tells you "you need SEO", and the quotes you get range from ₹3,000 to ₹50,000 a month. How do you know what you're buying?

Start by splitting SEO into three jobs: finding problems, fixing them, and watching what happens. Different packages cover different jobs, and paying for the wrong one is the most common waste we see.

The three jobs of SEO

Job 1: Audit

An audit is a diagnosis. Someone checks your site's titles, headings, speed, mobile display, broken links, duplicate content and indexing, and tells you what to change. You get a report and a priority list. Nothing on your site changes yet.

Job 2: Implementation

This is the repair. Meta tags get rewritten, structured data (schema markup) is added, a sitemap is submitted, and on-page issues are fixed.

Job 3: Monitoring and growth

Search results move slowly. Someone needs to watch rankings and traffic, add content and earn links over weeks. This is where ongoing effort lives.

What our three packages cover

PackageWhat's in itPrice and time
SEO AuditFull site audit, keyword research, PDF report, recommendations₹8,000, 5 days
SEO GrowthEverything in Audit, plus on-page fixes, meta tags, schema markup, sitemap₹15,000, 10 days
SEO EliteEverything in Growth, plus link building (10), content optimization, 30 days monitoring, monthly reports₹30,000, 20 days

Two add-ons are worth knowing: Extra Keywords (10) at ₹3,000, and Competitor Analysis at ₹4,000.

Which one do you actually need?

Choose the audit if...

  • You have a developer or in-house person who can make the fixes.
  • You want a second opinion before committing to a bigger budget.
  • You're not sure if your problem is SEO at all. Sometimes traffic is fine and the real issue is a weak enquiry form.

Choose Growth if...

  • Nobody on your side can edit titles, schema or sitemaps.
  • Your site is fairly small and the issues are mostly technical or on-page.
  • You want the fixes done, not a to-do list.

Choose Elite if...

  • You operate in a competitive local market, say interior designers in a metro city, and need more than technical clean-up.
  • You want someone to watch the results for the first month and report.

What on-page SEO fixes look like in practice

Say you run a dental clinic with a page called "Services" containing a single paragraph. A good fix usually means separate pages for the treatments people search for, clear headings that match those searches, a descriptive title tag for each, your clinic's address and hours in text (not just an image), and local business schema so search engines understand the details.

None of this is magic. It's tidy, careful work. The magic claims come from people who sell results they can't control.

Red flags when you hire for SEO

  1. Guaranteed rankings or "page 1 in 30 days". Nobody controls Google. Walk away.
  2. No access explained. A good provider asks for Search Console and analytics access, and says what they'll change.
  3. Mass directory submissions. Hundreds of low-quality listings can do more harm than good.
  4. Keyword lists with no reasoning. Keywords should tie to what your customers search and what you can actually deliver.
  5. Nothing in writing. You should receive a report or change log, so you can see what was done.

What to prepare

  • Your website address and admin or CMS access.
  • Google Search Console and Analytics access, if set up. If not, say so.
  • Your top three services or products, in order of profit.
  • The towns or areas you actually serve.
  • A list of competitors you think you're up against.

Realistic expectations

After on-page fixes, search engines need time to recrawl and reassess your pages. Some changes show up in a few weeks, others take months, and some won't move the needle if the market is crowded. SEO is also less effective on a very thin website. If your site has only three short pages, content may help more than technical fixes.

A small tip for the first month: keep a simple note of every change made to your site and the date. When traffic moves up or down, you'll be able to connect it to something real instead of guessing. It also makes any later conversation with a developer much shorter.

How we handle this at DegitalService

We offer the three packages above with the prices and timelines listed. Every package starts with an audit, so you always get a written view of the site before any changes. We make no ranking promises, but we do tell you what we changed and why. You can read more on the SEO Optimization page, or place an order. If you're unsure whether to start with an audit or go straight to Growth, drop us a note with your website address, and we'll give you an honest recommendation.

Frequently asked questions

How much does SEO cost in India?

It varies by scope. Our packages start at ₹8,000 for an audit, ₹15,000 for audit plus implementation, and ₹30,000 with link building and 30 days of monitoring.

How long does SEO take to show results?

Typically weeks to months. We can't give an exact figure because it depends on competition, site age and content.

What is schema markup?

It's extra code that helps search engines understand details such as your business address, reviews or products. It can make your listing richer in search results but doesn't guarantee a higher rank.

Can I do SEO myself?

Basic things like page titles and Google Business Profile are doable. Technical fixes and competitive research take more time and tools.
